To transform the outdoor area around the IDBank pavilion into a social destination — a place where people could step away from the traditional exhibition environment, gather, relax and enjoy the atmosphere of the summit.

 

The goal was not simply to increase brand visibility, but to create a space people would naturally want to spend time in.

The concept was inspired by the disco ball — an object associated with music, movement, nightlife and a sense of freedom.

 

Instead of using its familiar spherical form, EXPO LAB reinterpreted the disco ball as a large geometric object: the Disco Cube.

 

Placed in the center of the outdoor space, the mirrored cube became a visual landmark. Its reflective surface captured the surrounding nature, people and constantly changing event lighting, allowing the installation to look different throughout the day and night.

A series of smaller illuminated cubes were positioned throughout the surrounding lawn, extending the geometry of the main installation into the landscape and creating visual connections across the space.

 

Lighting played a key role in the experience. Reflections from the mirrored surfaces interacted with ambient and directional light, while the illuminated cubes created additional points of light throughout the outdoor area.

 

Together, mirror, light, geometry and the natural environment transformed the lawn into an atmospheric social space for IDBank at Seaside Startup Summit 2026.
